The BCCA Research and Extension Committee is putting on a Field Day and lunch at the Summerland Research and Development Center in Summerland on Thursday, June 1st from 11am to 4pm.
Mehdi Sharifi, Hao Xu, Amrit Singh, Tom Forge, and Denise Neilson will be in attendance to discuss results from their recent projects which are supported by the BCCA. In addition, Tobin Northfield, Washington State University, will be in attendance to discuss Little Cherry Disease. Tobin is the Little Cherry Disease Taskforce leader in Washington State and has done extensive work on Weed Control for Disease Control.
Lunch will take place at the Summerland Ornamental Gardens (just up the road from the research center) and is being provided by Syngenta, Corteva and TerraLink!
You need to register in advance for the event as due to capacity we can only have 40 people in attendance. At the moment attendance will be limited members and to 2 people per company, unless there are still spaces available closer to the event. To register, just email us back with the name(s) of who will be attending. Please register by 4pm on MONDAY, May 29th. Make sure you register right away, if there are still spots available for the event by the end of the day Friday, May 26th we will be opening up the event to non-members and extra attendees for companies with 2 people already registered to attend.
You will need to bring a piece of ID and be prepared to spend the afternoon outside, so dress accordingly.
