New Registration Process for the Cherry Export Programs

The CFIA is moving the application process for Cherry Export Programs online. This means that submitting export program applications as a grower or packing facility will now be much easier.

But all participants MUST sign up for their “My CFIA” account before November 1st. Existing program participants will have received an email from the CFIA with information and instructions.

Once you have signed up for My CFIA, the CFIA will be migrating your existing 2025 application over to the online platform. Starting in January you will be able to access your existing application, make any required edits if necessary, and simply re-submit.

Moving forward, you will be able to review, edit, and resubmit your export application each year through My CFIA.

If you plan to participate in the upcoming cherry season, please note:

  • Applications for the 2026 production year must be submitted through the My CFIA digital system.
  • Refer to the My CFIA Program Registration Application Guide emailed out by the CFIA for step-by-step instructions from their information session.
  • Reply to CFIA’s inspection team’s email with the requested “party profile” information by November 1.
  • Submit your renewal service request via My CFIA between January 15 – March 15, 2026

Create your MyCFIA profile and reply to the CFIA’s email by November 1st 2025

Setting up your My CFIA account may not be intuitive for everyone. With this in mind, the BCCA staff met with CFIA representatives who go through the process. We recorded that meeting for members to view. If you are unsure or encountering problems setting up your My CFIA account we guarantee that taking some time to watch our video will clear up any confusion you may have. Please email us and we can send you a link for the video.

If you have questions or need assistance with the My CFIA platform, enrolment, or technical issues, please visit the My CFIA – User Guidance or call 1-800-442-2342.
